Possibly, but you need to consider that this is a brand new venue, and therefore the musicians and customers have not yet learned about it. Good jams don't happen overnight. Just like the rest of us, they need to grow and mature.

Ben Lucero's Wednesday night jam has the advantage of having done exactly that. These days a core of regular, talented musicians shows up regularly on Wednesday night, as do the people who come there in the middle of the week just to hear the music. In the early days, Ben's jam was a bit thin as well.

I recommend giving the Sunday night folks a chance to grow and mature.

2) the quality of the other regular gigs at the Tin Star.
